Synopsis:

“The Purse A’ Tuppence” is for me a wonderful meeting point betwen a classic tale and a group of famous and very talented actors. I tried to keep vividly the expressions of the great Ion Creangă and the story’s folkloric specifics, being helped in this matter by the choruses of the Romanian traditional rhythms, composed specifically for this play. I highlighted the rooster’s magical character, the goodness of the old man and the wickedness of the old woman, but I have not forgotten the love story between the hen and the rooster. The educational side of the performance is based on the confrontation between good and evil. Will the rooster be able to retrieve its purse with the two pennies in the story of PRICHINDEL Theatre?
